Thanasis Tyrovolas

Thanasis Tyrovolas holds a Master’s Degree in Africa and International Development from the University of Edinburgh. He is an experienced Researcher and Proposal writer with more than 7 years of experience. He has worked in different Non-Governmental Organisations in Greece, since the so called “refugee crisis”, participating in researches and needs assessments as well as managing projects and donors’ relations. He has also completed a second Master’s Degree in Human Geography from Harokopio University. His dissertation «The “Golden Visa” Policy in Greece: privileged mobility, “investment boom” and socio-spatial consequences» explored the golden visa regime in Greece, illustrating its socio-spatial repercussions for the locals. His research interests lie particularly on the intersection of migration, gender and space. He has applied for a PhD position at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the Department of Sociology.
